RE: pricing error? kodak 2.2 megapixel camera for £11.99 +vat
I ordered a camera, but I don`t actually need it as I already have one, so an apology for their blatant untruths would be nice.
Mistakes can, and indeed do happen (with increasing regularity it seems). If a company comes out with "sorry, we screwed up, it`s our fault but we can`t sell the camera at that price" then surely any reasonable person can accept that and walk away. Being deliberately lied to (several times in this case) does not help their case at all. Why did they need to lie if they weren`t going to lose anything?
T&C`s are most certainly not an apology in advance, I don`t know how anyone could see them as that. They are purely there to protect the interests of the company.
RE: pricing error? kodak 2.2 megapixel camera for £11.99 +vat
So now they are going to charge you for the full price UNLESS you contact them within 7 days. Since you haven`t authorised them to take 164.99+vat from your card, they would be in deep trouble if they attempted this IMO. Almost worth leaving it for 7 days and then setting your credit card company onto them.
I`m not advocating taking this to rediculous lengths, but a straightforward, honest admission and an apology would have been nice instead of the blatant cover up they are trying to get away with.
RE: pricing error? kodak 2.2 megapixel camera for £11.99 +vat
Hey guess what? Just like Kodak it seems Insight have been telling porky pies in order to fob off consumers.
Insight currently have stock of 142 DX3600 cameras under a slightly different stock code:

When will these companies learn that a simple admission of error and an apology goes a long way. Consumers don`t like being lied to.

RE: LG 32` nicam, superflat, pureflat £379 inc del
It comes with a stand, so no need to order it separately. The TV`s are out of stock at the moment however
RE: LG 32` nicam, superflat, pureflat £379 inc del
It can come with a DVD player and VCR as part of a bundled deal, but it is also listed separately in the catalogue for £499.
RE: LG 32` nicam, superflat, pureflat £379 inc del
It certainly looks like a 16:9 TV on the web page I`m looking at.
It`s currently being sold by Argos for £499 (Link from another forum)

RE: Lite-On PC DVD drive 16X
Lite-On make some excellent drives. I have the 163 and it has been totaly trouble free. It is multi-region hackable as well. You can get a good price at http:\\www.overclockers.co.uk where they have them for £28.79 inc vat which is the full retail version with a copy of PowerDVD. You can buy a black bezel to fit the drive for £4.70 as well.
RE: Sony Notebook Cheap - Reality Bites you in the arse
Bill, I think you`ll find ALL the posts in this thread are about an online pricing error!
RE: Kodak DX3900 3.1 Millon - £224.89
I know very well that they don`t "recomend" alkaline batteries, but when the freshly charged NiMh batteries they supply last only around 10 minutes and you don`t have mains power handy to recharge them, your options are limited. IMO the power management on this model is it`s worst feature.
RE: Kodak DX3900 3.1 Millon - £224.89
Not a bad price for that spec, but my experiences with the DX3700 means I shan`t be buying another Kodak digital camera. It managed to suck the life out of two sets of alkaline batteries before I could fill one 32MB card, and that was with sparing use of the LCD.
RE: Cheap designer gear - where can I get some????
Yeah, good idea, why not spend three or four times as much money on clothing because it carries a "designer" label.
RE: Kodak 64 MB MMC Card For Under £33 Delivered!!
Note that the Crucial memory is £38.69 + VAT which comes to £45.46
RE: 2x 1m QED Silver Aniversary OR 4x 1m QED Original
Definately go for the bi-wiring. I`m not a beliver in the majority of the stuff claimed to improve sound quality, but even I could hear the difference when I bi-wired my speakers.
RE: Kodak digital camera worth £300 for £100 PLUS loads of accessories
>I think you lot are being too sad, STOP it!
>Remember they are humans too and can make a mistake.
>And They didn`t advertise this deal, but we went and found it from a >URL link, if it wasn`t for that we would never have seen it!!
>And some one was saying that they are not going to buy Kodak any >more and going to write bad reviews for all kodak products, do u think >thats fair??
>Anyway, they are not going to sell it for 100 pounds, so thats it END
Wow, that told us! I guess we are all going to have to stop this instant. You plonker.
RE: Kodak digital camera worth £300 for £100 PLUS loads of accessories
It`s an automated system. Just because it says "processing" dosen`t mean to say anything is actually happening.
RE: Kodak digital camera worth £300 for £100 PLUS loads of accessories
"C`mon, let`s be fair - it`s not like it`s their own cock up, a la HMV/X-Files - they have been the subject of hacking by a third party"
Maybe, maybe not. If I were a cynical person I`d have to say that announcing that the site had been hacked rather than an internal cock-up places them in a much better legal situation.
RE: ok, another offer i`ve found - The Matrix - £7.99 inc. p&p
Not very impressed with playstation.com: ordered The Matrix, Apollo 13 and The Mummy from them in early December, got a dispatch confirmation on the 14th December and they still haven`t arrived!
