I`m not sure if it works for all Philips-704AT units, but I tried it on mine and it works like a charm! =)

It is a permanent change (retains the setting after unit is unplugged), but you can redo the code to change it again if necessary as many times as you want.

I would make sure you look on the back of the DVD player and look at the sticker which spells out the entire model of the DVD player and make sure it starts with "704ATxxxxxx" where the x`s are the rest of the model number. If it looks like this, I`m sure this will work 100% for you!

I bought my Philips-704 DVD unit at my local CostCo in Austin, TX....and the Code works!!

This code will make your Philips 704 DVD unit REGION-FREE!!!!

Do this code with NO DISC in the drive.
