Samsung DVD 811, macrovision

Hello
I`m just wondering if it is possible to chip this player in order to get rid of the annoying macrovision-function?
By the way, I`ve got an original european firmware-eeprom(V.4.03 i think), which fully co-operates regarding region-hacks. As far as I know this is the best and latest firmwareversion for this player. I`ve also got a similar chip for it`s "brother"; Thomson DTH4500.

It does probably not convert the NTSC signal until PAL, quite common.
So if your TV can only handle the 50Hz PAL signal, you`ll get this result.
This reminds me of a Hitachi TV, I once owned, it could take the NTSC signals only on AV1, not on AV2. If you`ve got severeal AV-inputs on your TV, check out if one of them might be able to "swallow" the NTSC signal.

This player is regionfree, but I need to know if it plays RCE discs?
If not, is there any region hacks to set it in each region? By the way, does it take discs from other regions than 1 & 2?

Please let me know if you`ve got any info at all, regarding this player.
