I need Urgent help with the Phillips DVD 711

I tried a region hack and it has`nt worked but now it won`t
play region 2 dvds either! Anyone know how I might restore
this back to the factory settings? Also now when the
player starts with no disk instead of bright blue it now
is dull and says dvd player low???
