FREE with Sky offer from carphone warehouse - how does it compare to (say) cyberhome 528?
RE: Videologic or Creative?
Older videologic Kit (not DTS) has inputs for Digital and 2 phonos. I run TV out on phonos to preamp control box and Digital out from DVD to control box. Mute TV and switch between sources as necessary via remote control.
RE: Free dvd with wap phone
This samsung has caller id on outside of clamshell -right?
Friend has one which does not do this, just a graphic of telephone and words "Call1" flashing??
Is this a SIM fault/network fault?

It was purchased on Sky Free DVD package One2one

RE: The Right Stuff on DVD -GERMAN MENU??
Wild guess??!! - pretty good one. I did wonder if Cyberhome`s country of origin had something to do with it , but as I said although MENUs are in Deutsch - Speech is in English - I was expecting german dubbing as first choice when I initially saw the MENU. Will try Zulu trick and see what happens.
Thanks for taking time to reply
Cheers
Brendan
The Right Stuff on DVD -GERMAN MENU??
Just an observation - bought Right stuff - disc is imprinted with English, french and German titles, certification etc.
Root menu is in German
ie Graphic buttons for scene selecton etc. captioned in German - plays OK and there are no special features of any note, so my lack of German is no problem - just not met this before - any comments?
Anamorphic vs letterbox - explanation please
Not yet got a widescreen tv, but would still appreciate an explanation of the difference between a disc marked as widescreen and one marked anamorphic.
I gather that if I had a widescreen TV that anamorphic is better but in what way?
RE: Packard Bell 5800 Speakers - 6 into 2 won`t go - help!!
AN ALTERNATIVE
TINY on www.tiny.com seem to be selling videologic Digitheatre for £150
from picture looks like the 5 speaker kit plus sub plus the DECODER that you need, it`s had favourable reviews elsewhere. Curry`s flog it for 200quid or 250 in silver
they describe it as SPEAKERS but pic shows decoder?? need to check I guess.
This would mean you could feed a digital signal from your current DVD player ( it also has the 5.1 inputs via 6 phonos), but you would be stuck with Packard bell`s - surely someone would buy them off you?
RE: Multi-standard TV display??
Thanks, Mike
I`ll give it a go with one disc for starters!

Multi-standard TV display??
Are there any features a TV needs to successfully display pictures from a Region 1 disc on a multi-region player?
Cyberhome 528 DVD
Old Hitachi 25" nicam 4:3 TV (don`t have model no. to hand)
2 Scart sockets one accepts RGB signals
Don`t want to order discs and then discover they will not be of any use till I upgrade the TV!!!
