Pixar Box set - Incredibles, Monster inc, nemo, Bugs life
Can anybody tell me if the Monster Inc dvd is the widescreen or 4:3 version in this box set?
RE: ANYONE RECEIVED TWO TOWERS GIFT SET FROM PLAY YET??????
If it`s any consolation I have not received mine from dvd.co.uk although they e-mailed to say it was sent on the 15th. A little patience needed with the Post Office. ;)
Moulin Rouge Problem
I have a region 2 disc, neither disc 1 nor two respond to remote control but do respond to the console buttons. I don`t understand why this should be so. Anybody else got similar problems or heard of this before?
Could it be a problem with this disc?

Harry66,
You would not have that google group URL would you?

RE: Setting Up
Your equipment set-up should be as GPEN described. I have a Sony TV with Cinema Surround, set up exactly like that. Although I have also attached the composite video lead to the S-video scart as well. You should set up the sound channels from your TV, sat and vid separately using the normal red/black phono leads to vid in 1,2 and 3. I find this gives the best sound levels, without it there are some losses.
RE: Dansai 852 Seen at any Tesco stores recently????
Don`t know whether you were successful or not, but if you are still looking Tesco Extra at Kingston Park Newcastle upon Tyne have 12 on display £99.84 been there today!
RE: Where can i get my hands on the Dansai 852?
They have hundreds of the things at Tesco Kingston Park SuperStore,
That`s in Geordie land by the way. But at the last glance they only had the £199 deal with 20 `Free` DVD`s, still if you want to start a collection (;-)
Have you tried Tesco`s online service?
RE: AIWA HTDV90
I have search high and low for a multi-region hack and having read most sites have come to the conclusion it is un-hackable - sorry
As for the rumble I can say that I have not had this on my system but you do have to think carefully about cable routing. The sound in DVD mode is impessive.
RE: Does ITV digital send dolby digital code?
What about Sky Digital?
Is it possible or is no one taking proper advantage of the technology?
Does ITV digital send dolby digital code?
I have an Awia DV-90 surround system, the display shows which speakers are active. When playing DVD`s all channels are active, hence receving Dolby Digital. From the TV or video the signal is Dolby Pro Logic and the rear speakers are combined giving mono only. The manual states you need a digital source for full 5.1 response. Therefore should I expect 5.1 from the digi-box as this is a digital source. Anyone out there with any comments?
RE: Aiwa - HT-DV90 - Surround sound from TV/Video/sat
An amendment - the itv digi box is a pioneer not that it should matter but,
I forgot to mention the surround system has no scarts, therefore left and right audio out from tv to surround `in` is only way to get audio to surround system, however on adding another left and right audio from digibox has resulted in much louder output but still mono to rear speakers. Manual states this should be so for analogue input but surely stereo to rear speakers must be possible from itvdigital?
Also added a composite video cable parallel with s-video in and sparkle has disappeared.
Aiwa - HT-DV90 - Surround sound from TV/Video/sat
my set up - sony kv-32fx65, 3 scarts, Panasonic ITV digibox, and sony stereo video. Sat to TV scart/scart AV1, TV to DVD scart/svideo AV2, TV to Video Scart/scart AV3, Sat to video scart/scart.
in dvd mode sound is excellent however I get sparkle on high contrast images and can not control by TV settings. Other playback from TV/SAT/video does not seperate to rear speakers i.e mono only and reduced volume as compared to DVD mode.
Any Ideas, thoughts please, am I expecting to much?
