RE: VHS - to videoCD
THanks for the advice- I have a standard tv tuner capture card anf Roxio PLatinum for capture software. I need to find a lead to connect the VCR to the card and then have a go! Fingers crossed!
RE: VHS - to videoCD
Thanks for this - but too confusing for my simple mind! CAn anyone recommend a good alround capture card that can hook up a standard VHS VCR, and also a digital camcorder (Canon MV400).
As al alternative I have been thinking about using the camcorder to convert to digital and then just linking the camcorder to a firewire card for capturing. Problem is my camcorder has no AV or DV in (only out) - someone told me that there is downloaded patches that will change the DVout to DVin/out - anyone heard of this?
Thanks
VHS - to videoCD
Hi
Can anyone HELP!!
I want to copy VHS tape to CDR (videoCD) via my PC. I know I need a capture card and software - but which one! I already have Roxio platinum and a CDRW for burning, but what is a good (cheap) capture card?I have seen a firewire card (PYRO 1394 DV) for £50 - which would be fine for copying from my camcorder to CDR - but I need to be able to connect a VHS video to transfer some older tapes to CDR to view in my dvd player. Any suggestions please before I go mad!
THanks

RE: ps2, toshiba agrovation!!!
Glad to hear you have no probs - I can play some DVDs OK - but a boxed set of the TV series Cold Feet just will not play. They are region 2 pal and work OK on a regular DVD player. I have the earlier DVD driver but apparently upgrading to V2 of the driver makes no difference. Anyone had similar problems?
