Agree with that RichardH, when i got my player i only bought region 2, mostly due to no access to the internet. But about 3 months later, started buying region 1, the excitement (at first) of geting films that were just in the cinema was too hard to resist. Id say i know probably buy 70% region 1 now.

As far as i know a reciever is an amp. so powers the speakers, the processor just decodes the information, an amp/reciever has its own processors, as for the other bit i dont get what you mean. Having a good amp has nothing to do with wether you need a sub or not. If you have decent speakers that provide enough bass for your liking then you may not need one.

i could never buy a region encoded player, i have two main players and a portable all multi region. Its worth it so you can shop around for cheaper discs newer releases. And Uncut films

No problem, i spoke to my dad who his friend the bose, and he said it was about £1000 so there are some really decent systems you could get for that price. Like i said have a look at unbeatable and see what they have.

Have a look at richer sounds web site, www.richersounds.com the sony DAVS550 is £499 and multi region always handy. Nice looking system too, and look at www.unbeatable.co.uk the YamahaYAMA DVXS100 is a nice system but is £688, but unbeatable have quite a few systems varying in price. You should really try and test them first.

If it is the one with two fronts and a sub, i set one up for one of my dads friends, not that it was hard. But its ok nothing special, overpriced as most Bose stuff is. You could do one hell of a lot better for the money.

Spiderman and CDWOW

Hi cdwow have spiderman for £14.99 i think which is a lot cheaper than any others ive seen, but it says it region 2 europe japan. is this just the same as you would buy in say virgin or is it a different region to the normal r2. Its just that their qouted release date seems a bit early for region 2???

And will the cover just have english writing

Hi ive had a Panasonic DVD LV75 for a long while now and use in my spare room connected to the Tv, but have a problem with the sound, i dont get all the channels, even when i try all the inputs, both of the 5.1 outs and the opt out any ideas?
