RE: AIWA HT-DV90 - CRACK! :)

The hack works easily everytime, but the c2580c hack detailed on one of the other strands is slightly off. This caused me to waste a lot of time when I hacked my own player. I have therefore posted the correct hack in
in easy to follow steps on this site.

Aiwa HT-DV90 Hack

I am posting this message because some of the information posted previosly is either confusing or inaccurate.

Follow the steps below to make your Aiwa HT-DV90 region free.
1. Power on the player and open the draw
2. Press the dvd/cd button on your remote
3. Enter the code c-2-5-8-0-c. Testmo e will now be seen on the player’s display ant your TV will show the engineering display.
4.press the up button (above enter), a 4-digit number will appear on your players display.
5. Press the up button repeatedly until you scroll to number 1402 (02 is the region 2 code).
6.Press the 0 button on your remote and the display will change to 1400. Your tv display will now also show region 0
7. Press the enter button of the remote followed by the return button. Your display will now show TESTMO E again
8. Press the c button and your display will show EPPCLEAR for a few moments.
9. Press the return button on your remote and the draw will close.
10. Turn off the player for about 10 seconds using the remote to set the memory to the changes you have made
When you turn on the player again it will be region free. I have hacked my own player in this way and the hack allows the player to play RCE disks without any problems
