Macrovision removers

Not really a region hack, so I thought I`d post this here.
Transferring some older (home taped!) videos onto dvd-r with the Panasonic DMR-E20 results in the message "Copying of this material is not allowed".
Bit rough, when it`s a home taped video that`s a few years old.
I believe you can buy little units that the leads plug into to strip away the macrovision signal.
Has anyone any experience of these (in the UK)

Panasonic DVD recorder

Hi guys,

Any offers of advice on making my new Panasonic DMR-E20 DVD recorder multi-region? Any other users of this fantastic beast?

Cheers,
