RE: Laptop for less that £270 !!!
Taken from Simply`s Terms and Conditions.
There`s probably a couple of points there they can get you on.
Still, it`s very tempting.

RE: Philips DVD 719.
I have a very cheap crappy TV which has only one scart socket on it. Also my DVD player (which is actually a 718 I just noticed I put 719 before) doesn`t have a scart socket on the back, not being european and all. It has a s-video socket and the audio/video phono sockets. I am using a 3 phono to scart lead at the moment. I`ll look into the RGB scart business.
cheers for the help all.
Martin

RE: Is DVD Dead?
I work for NTL and you wouldn`t believe how often the TVOD and NVOD cocks up.
Myself I always like to have my own copy of films I like.
Philips DVD 719.
Hi,
Would anyone know anything about a permanentregion 1 hack or modchip for a philips DVD 719? It`s a player I picked up cheap in Singapore which is very similar to the 710. The 710 remote control hack works but the dics play in black and white which I`ve been told is to do with my TV not accepting the NTSC signal (it`s a cheap TV with only 1 scart input no RBG or S-video).
I would quite like to be able to pop in a chip which would allow me to play R1 dics in colour if that`s at all likely.
Any suggestions on this would be most helpful
Cheers
Martin.
