RE: Xwave 1000K dvd player hack
Unfortunatley on the 1000k this brings up a miscellanious menu and the only thing that can be chnaged here is the sound. no other feature can be "accepted" by changing them.
interestingly i`ve heard that there are 2 versions of this unit, one of these has a region switch on the back - but on mine this is not the case.
thanks, i`m sure that anyone with the lb900 will appreciate this information.
on the 1000k the buttons to press are
setup
step
f.fwd
f.bwd
just in case anyone wants to try

Xwave 1000K dvd player hack
I have this unit and it is already set for multi region, however i have been told that this unit can be made region specific by the remote control.
why do i want to alter the region, well i have just got hollow man from the states and it has the new region one detection software on, the only thing i can do then is stop the disc and turn the play back control off, thus allowing me to type in index numbers to find the start of the film and the extras - not ideal really.
this film does work on the hitachi dvp305 when the remote hack is used, my only problem with this machine is the lack of dolby 5.1 output.
so if anyone can help me - i would be thankfull.
One for all remote codes
I have tried using the 1 for all 5 (URC-7550) on my dvp305e after following the instructions for both the new and old firmware - and to my dismay I can`t get it to work. So I then got hold of a 1 for all 6 (URC-7560) and again the same problem.
The only thing I can get the 1 for all 6 to do is the cold start, and that is by pressing AUD, followed by the MAGIC key until it flashes twice, then alternate between magic and stand-by.
Any suggestions?
