It is rumoured that the disc mentioned in the LG5083 thread works for the whole 5000 series. The file is called LG5000.zip.

burn the folder RMTM0000 to the CDR with its sub directories. In windows XP you will have to enable view hidden files to do this.

The above URL doess work althoug it took me many attempts to download. Maybe the sites in demand..... Anyway I burn it and installed it. Tested it on region 1 Training day (non RCE) and Mothman Prophecies (supposed RCE) both fine. No side effects yet!
