RE: STARMedia DVD Player 3022 - Superslim

asX, yes, it does make a "kling" sound but only when I open the tray, not on power up. I`ve found no hacks for the player so I can`t disable it either. The video is a Thompson (el cheapo but fully functional!). Guess I`m lucky with my setup. Maybe prehacked before I got it? I dunno, it just does it. Might be better getting a macrovision scart from somewhere like www.divineo.com. Good luck with the hach search.

RE: STARMedia DVD Player 3022 - Superslim

RGB is used in every standard scart connection. Difference between composite and RGB is that composite mixes the RGB into one signal so some processing is required to separate the signals again. This leads to some errors being introduced. Dunno about composite copying cos I never use it. RGB signal can use macrovision. Info is in the signal before the blanking bit for each frame (I believe). How the signal is then exported from the box is irrrelevant. It`s there!

RE: STARMedia DVD Player 3022 - Superslim

Straight out of the box, own standard scart cable, scart to scart - RGB. Seems to be international versions of the player. Bought mine from a local computer dealer in UK. I didn`t have to enter any hacks, it just works. Region free and no macrovision. Maybe I`m just lucky in the machine I bought?

RE: STARMedia DVD Player 3022 - Superslim

Hi egi, entered keycode as stated. Does nothing on UK model except open the General Setup page of setup. Tested with region 1,2 & 4 DVD`s with no problem. Plays them all. Also, no Macrovision either.

RE: STARMedia DVD Player 3022 - Superslim

Thanks Number 6 for the info. Still haven`t had time to play. Will get round to it but you`ve put my mind at rest. Thanks

RE: STARMedia DVD Player 3022 - Superslim

Don`t think you need any! It appears to be multi-regional already although I`m trying to find someone with a region 1 disk to validate this - unless someone already knows! Don`t know about macrovision as I haven`t tried to copy anything yet. There`s no info I`ve found yet re hacks of any kind. Will Post if I find any.

RE: STARMedia DVD Player 3022 - Superslim

Thanks - Sorted - On the right trail again.
Cheers

Thanks for the prompt reply Clayts. Can`t find any info on H & B or H & B player in the forum. Any links I can follow in here?

STARMedia DVD Player 3022 - Superslim

Anybody heard of this player? Can`t find any info or hacks on the web. Is it a rebadged something? Looks Pioneer-ish. Does DVD, CDR & RW, VCD, SVCD, MP3. Any help appreciated.
