Remove the tesco`s background and replace it with something you actually want.

1. Take the image you want as your background and use it as the source file in TMPGEnc-2.57.41.146-Free.zip

2. Adjust the settings so that the output mpg is 720x480 and 22073(or slightly less)bytes.

3. Get hold of the original BANK30.ROM firmware from Tesco.

4. Open EZPatchV12.zip and point it to the firmware, the only patch available will be the background patch. Choose it and select the mpg you made before as the file to patch it with.

5.Save the output as raw.bin, not bank30. Then change the file name to BANK30.ROM.

6. Burn the new rom onto a CD and flash away.

Nope, there is also no Stand By on the remote control.

Shame there isnt a hack for VCD/SVCD.

That second region hack dont work.

Looks a nice player (Alike the Goodmans 124) The OSD and remote look too much alike.

I need a hack for vcd and svcd play back :) (Makes like Alba dont pay the $2 to Philips to enable VCD playback which is a shame)

Anyone else got any more info on this?

I got one today, dont play vcd or svcd, plays dvd-r`s fine (Tested a tradata gen 3 one).

Ive connected it upto my VCR and tryed playing a Region 2 Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me dvd, and there is no Macrovision, tryed recorded too (My VCR is an Samsung one, not that new but still does the job, My Lasonic 8050D has macrovision)

The hack someone said dont work.

Looks like we have a Region 2 locked but macrovision free.

I removed the lid off mine :D I see a basic IDE DVD Rom Loader C-Cube chipset. Also the remote for my Dansai 852 works with it but the wrong fucations.

Nothing else to say.

Any Hacks anyone?
