RE: Region / Macrovision hack for JVC-XV521/522/523 ...

I seem to remember finding this a while back in my search for a hack for the XV557. It was somewhere on the JVC site and what it does (if I remember correctly) is to restore the default firmware to the player.

If anyone has any more info on it, I would be glad to hear it. I`ve been looking for a hack for this player for months.

Help with JVC XV-M557 needed

I have a JVC XV-M557 dvd player and I`m wondering if there is a remote hack available to make it region free. If not, where is the best place to get it chipped...preferably in the North East/Newcastle area. Thanks for any help given.
