I have the Bush 2023 and it also appears to be region free out of the box, maybe the whole Bush range is.

Hello Betty-boo, I dont have a hack but I do have a Bush 2023, I tried a region 1 disk and it played ok it might be that the Bush is region free, hope so anyway. Try a different region and let me know ....thanks

Hi cliffc, how do you get youre bush 2023 to play VCD`s? I can play them but have to keep pressing the goto button on the remote, bush helpline gave me a code to type in but it doesnt seem to work. Did u know the bush might be region free, I played a region 1 disk the other night with no problems.

it sounds like your pc tv card is the problem, the bush 2023 does not suport macrovision and i can play region 1 dvd`s as well, try using a normal tv with your dvd player.

Bush 2023 VCD remote code found

Hello, although I dont have a region hack code for this player my bro in-law (Twisted Fire-Starter) found a way to get it to play VCD`s it has been mentioned in some of the other threads on this board but just in case u missed it here it is. Insert VCD and press play, when player says loading keep pressing the `goto` button on the remote until a drop down screen appears, this may take some practice and a little patience as timimng is the key. once the screen appears stop pressing the button, then press the `menu` button followed by `play` or u can phone Bush helpline and they will give u a code to insert that I have yet to get working....

I have the Bush 2023 and it does play VCD`s. Yes it does convert pal/ntsc. To play VCD`s insert the disk, when it says loading keep pressing the goto button on the remote until a drop down menu appears, (this may take a couple of attempts but it does work) if successful press the menu button then press play voila. This has to be done with all VCD disks. I phoned the Bush helpline and they gave me a code but it has so far been useless, they said switch machine off/on, open draw, press 1,8,9,2,6 then 2,8,9,2,6 then 3,8,9,2,6 and so on till you get to 9 i.e 9,8,9,2,6...load of crap I guess, that or I didi it wrong, anyhow you can always phone them and ask..hope this helps...:-) as far as macrovision is concerned I dont think this player supports it, I could be wrong. PS I only payed £78.99 through the littlewoods index extra catalogue if you wanna save a tenner

I have a Bush 2023 and it would not play VCD,s even though the ad states that it does, I phined the Bush helpline and they gave me a code to try. Maybe you could try phoning them (the Goodmans helpline that is), you say it dont play DVD what region are you trying to play? England is in region 2 so unless you have the region hack for your player anything other than region 2 disks will not work.

Hi a while ago I was going to buy this DVD player, anyhow there is a crack for it region codes etc a mate of mine found it and printed the sheet out (but I cant find it) he found it on a website called www,astalavista.box.sk you might have to use a link and do some searching but thats where he got it from..hope it helps

Bush 2023 will play CDR`s and VCD`s. I dont have a region crack for it yet. To play VCD`s you need to load the disc and keep pressing the goto button on the remote until a pull down menu appears, you might have to repeat this until menu shows, then press the menu button then press play, the vcd should work. I have only just bought this dvd player so if I find anything else out I wil let you know. As for CDR`s I assume they play ok I only have audio tracks on mine and they play ok.. How much is the DVD player in Argos?
