Turn player on, make sure no disc is in it
Wait until `no disc` appears on display
pause `pause` on remote
enter `314159` on remote
if entered correctly code `x` will appear on display, where x is current region code
enter region code required, ie, 1 for region 1 etc, enter `0` for multi region
press `pause` on remote
turn player off, and wait at least 5 seconds
turn on again and voila, you now have a multi region player
