Toshiba SD220E & JPEG

Hi,

I need some help..........Is there any way of using my Toshiba SD220E to view JPEG`s? I am planning on buying a digital camera and don`t want to buy a new DVD also!

I checked and the DVD is set to RGB as is the Sky box but I still get bizarre colours. Is the Sky box manipulating the signal in some way?

Could I connect my Tosh SD220E DVD straight to the system that has an intergrated decoder or would I need an amp?

Ah ha! Ive cracked it! The prblem was that when I had set up my remote initially Channel 6 had been picked as the Sky channel. You can reset this by:
Pressing the TV button
Pressing the Green and Select buttons together until red light blinks twice
Pressing select - the red light blinks twice again.

Also, connected the DVD through the Sky box to try to take advantage of RGB output from Sky but all the colours went strange on the DVD - any thoughts?

Thanks Jimbo. AV2 is enabled for switching as I have discovered that I can switch to AV2 using the standby button on the Sky remote - now if someone could just tewll me how to get the `Sky` button to switch to AV2...............

Help with Sky and New TV Set-Up

Hi,

I have just bought a new telly (Bush RF6684VPL) and I am having a problem with Sky. I have 2 SCART sockets, with my DVD on AV1 and Sky on AV2, Sky is also tuned to channel 6 on th TV. The problem is that all terestrial channels are in `stereo` through the RF cable (channels 1-5) but Sky is not (on channel 6) but it is on AV2 - I can switch between mono/stereo on the other channels but not on Sky for channel 6.

This a bit annoying as the `Sky` button on the Sky remote switches the TV to channel 6 rather than AV2 >:( . I have checked that Stero output and Scart control is enabled on my digi box.

Any advice on getting Stereo on Channel 6 or getting the Sky remote to switch to AV2?

The telly model on offer is the RF6884VPL - I am very happy with mine. Be aware that they also have some RF6882VPL models which I assume is slightly older (but got an excellent review in What Hi Fi priced @ £400).

When I purchased my player from Richer Sounds they said that the web price did not include the £9.99 delivery charge therefore I ended up paying £144.98 - was I conned????

Toshiba SD220E - Image Problems?

I recently purchsed a MR Toshiba SD220E and have two recurring problems with the image:
1. A faint line moving across the screen from left to right)- this seems to happen all the time.
2. A brightnes flickering between light and dark at the top 20% of the screen (this only seems to happen on certain scenes).

Can anybody provide any insight/help?

Toshiba SD220 Playing SVCD - Richer Sounds

Hi,

I am planning to buy the Tosh SD220 from Richer Sounds but they tell me that it cannot play SVCD. Are they referring to the lip-synch issues or is it a particular issue with their multi region mod? Does anybody have experience with this?

Also, is the ability to play SVCD a big issue (I am new to DVD)?
