Alba DVD108 & Scart Troubles

I have just bought the above DVD player which I am perfectly happy with, except for a minor irritation that I wonder if anyone can help with.

When I connect the DVD player directly to my TV via scart, all is okay. However, as my TV only has one scart connection, and I have another piece of kit that requires scart, I have purchased a scart 3 in 1 switching box.

When the DVD is routed via the switching box, I only get the sound, no picture - just a blank screen. The other piece of kit (a digisender box) works fine.

I already own an identical one of these switching boxes which I use on another TV, which works okay. I have swapped the boxes over and also tried another scart cable, but the problem remains.

Please help. I don`t want to have to take the DVD player back, as I really like but I am thinking it may be the only solution.
