Help! - Online betting

Yesterday, i noticed an online bookie was still taking bets on a horserace after the race had finished, so i thought i would chance putting a bet on the winning horse.

To my surprise my bet was accepted and i was eventually paid my "winnings". I know some people would call it cheating but i didn`t see any harm in trying to make a few extra quid.

I took the "winnings" straight out of my account but was thinking, could they now take the money back out of my bank without my authorisation and do i have to give it them back?

I live in Swinton and have done all my life. Live just around the corner from where the Swinton Lions used to play. Never heard of a Swinton Football team except for a Sunday league team. I`ll ask a few of my mates and see what they know, if thats any help?

I emailed Cd wow last night about this and i received this reply:

I can totally understand your disappointment regarding the cancellation of
your order for the "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" DVD. Please accept our
apologies for the inconvenience we have caused - it certainly wasn`t our
intention.

As this is the first "special edition" release of Roger Rabbit, we (like
most suppliers) tried to ensure that we could source enough stock to honour
the demand. When an opportunity arose that would allow us to order this
popular title and offer it to our members at £6.99, we felt this was an
opportunity not to be missed.

We duly placed our order and awaited delivery, only to then learn that our
supplier could not supply the title at all, let alone at the price we had
been quoted.

Unfortunately by the time we had been informed of this, a large number of
customers - like yourself - had already placed orders for it.

Although we feel we have been let down by the supplier on this occasion, we
take full responsibility for this situation. With this in mind, I propose
the following:

We have placed a new order - with a more reputable supplier - and expect to
receive stock of the "Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (Buena Vista Series)" DVD in
Region 1 format in the next 7-10 days. As soon as it arrives, it will be
re-advertised on our site. Sadly, because we are having to source it from
an alternative supplier, the original price of £6.99 will not apply (we
understand the price will be £14.99).

However, if you wish to place an order for the "Who Framed Roger Rabbit
(Buena Vista Series)" Region 1 DVD once it re-appears on our site and pay
the full price, if you let me have the order number, I will then arrange for
the difference in price to be refunded back to your card.

I believe this to be a one-off occurrence and am confident that your future
experiences with CD WOW! will be much more enjoyable.

If you have any further questions, please don`t hesitate to contact us

Pretty disappointed myself. Ordered on Monday and got an email saying order accepted and an email off World play, checked my credit card balance online and they took the money out straight away. Got the same email as you guys today about not enough stock and they are refunding my card.
Thought it was too good to be true.
