SAMSUNG 105...HACK failure.....WONT READ ANY DISCS

Can anyone offer advice. I used the hack as posted on this site. Placed a Reg 1 DVD in the player,the film played ok without problem.However after 30 mins whilst watching a REG 1 film ( Scooby Doo), the picture froze.Stopped the film, restarted but got the error code " no disc".Tried a Reg 2 and got the same code. Tried redoing the hack, reg code appears in top left corner, but still the discs wont play. Any ideas please?
