1. Thank god, NO! Using the one4all, it`s hacked for good... Changed to Region 0... I even think I moved mine to another house and still didn`t have to hack it again...
2. You use your one4all, typing the code, then play, and "no disc" appears on the player`s screen, then turn it off (using the remote, i guess) wait around 10 seconds, turn it back on, it should be region free.

Oh okay, I only know of this hack using the One4All 7560. Haven`t you got a friend that you could get it from?
Or maybe you need to switch the player to its original state, and start again... Check the link I sent for that... My knowledge is very limited, sorry!

It says "no disc" after you press play, right? You turned it off, waited 10 seconds and nothing happened?? From what I`ve seen on different sites, the first two codes should do it!

I received my player yesterday and hacked it immediately... It worked, no problem, I`m so glad...

I did use the general Philips Hack
1. Set up the universal remote handset with code 0539.
2. With the remote, send the `RC6` code to the DVD player by pressing the following keys, in order:
3. `MAGIC` 085
4. When the dashes appear (`-----------`), enter the following code:
222 222 005 255
5. Then press `PLAY` and the machine should reset itself and the display will read "no disc".
6. The player should now be region free. :)

As for your firmware, I`m pretty sure it`s 6.2. I`ll check mine if you want.

12/23/02 I checked my firmware, it`s 6.2.10 as well

I`ve been told that the regular hack work for the 743... I`m not sure since I`ve haven`t received my player yet. I`ll let you know as soon as I try it... Or maybe you can try it... Go there:
