Blackstar.co.uk now Sendit.com!?
Not sure when it happened but I placed an order for the DVD`s I didn`t get from Splash, that was on Friday. Got them today, from JERSEY!!. Checked the Blackstar site which now says they are Sendit.com.
The site seems pretty much the same apart from the name.
Just a shock to get it from jErSeY. I haven`t ordered from Blackstar for a while, how long have they been shipping from jErSeY?
I`m getting a bit twitchy about DVD online companies!
:p :o ;) :/ :)

RE: SPLASHDVD OUT OF BUSINESS
I imagine its the same as them not refunding my card when they said they would.
If you have the email still as proof that they said your card was `set to refund` print it and send that to your card disputes department.
Not sure if it makes a different whether its on credit or debit?

Is there anyone with NatWest credit card?
They asked me to put everything in writing with all my transaction records. I`ve not heard from them.
I`ll probably give them a call soon.
Although I was with the TSB it took them about a week and a half to get the charge back on my card after I sent all the `proof` away to them.
Worth giving them a call though.
I got a letter confirming it all, although it did say that after they contact Splash I may have the charge put back on to my account in the future!
Just a general get out clause or has anyone had this happen in similar circumstances?
P.S I think Loopie was a tad higher up the food chain! :o
RE: SPLASHDVD OUT OF BUSINESS
I`ve been refunded 2 out of the 3 amounts that Splash took. One a refund that never turned up from Splosh! :/ I`m expecting the last one the next few days.
Lloyds TSB issue them 30 days after the original transaction it seems.
They didn`t send me any forms just asked me to send them all the details and proof to the card dispute department in Brighton.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who gave advice and told me to be optimistic! ;) :)
Cheers! :D
RE: What are www.buyit247.co.uk like?
Splash and Buyit247!. Doesn`t it just make you want to give all companies that take money up front a wide birth. (ie Jersey)
Do cd101 do the same? Jersey/Surrey based? >:( :/
RE: splash dvd con
I`ve just finished speaking to my credit card company about it.
The lady asked if it was about Splash DVD before I said!
Seems they`ve got lots of peoples hard earned cash.
There maybe a chance of getting the money back through your Credit card.
I don`t feel too optimistic though :-(

Bastards have stop trading.
I have lost £70 unless credit my card covers this kind of low life behaviour.
That was 3 orders, one was a supposed cancelled and refunded to my card. 9 days ago.
Nothing. DVD`s orderd over two weeks ago. Yeah they took the money straight away.
£70, thats a hell of a lot to me.
I can`t believe it.
:-(
Panasonic DVD-RV32EBS MR or Toshiba SD220 Multi-region DVD Player??Help!?
Hi,
This will be my first DVD player (apart from the one in the PC)
These two caught my eye and as they are the same price I`m wondering if anyone could tell me which is best.
I do have panasonic vid player and tv already so the Q-link would be good...but is the Toshiba miles better? Seem to be about the same spec but I`ve only been able to find reviews of the Toshiba which speak highly of the picture quality.
Any of you kind folk help me?
Thanks!
