RE: phillips dvdr980 remote hack. Help please !

Turn on dvdr980 with no disc in and the tray shut, press PLAY 1 5 9, front display should now show _ _ _ _ lines like that all the way across. Now press 1 2 1 2 1 2 0 0 5 0 0 1 PLAY, display should now say NO DISC. (DON`T TURN THE POWER OFF AT THIS POINT) Open tray and put region 1 disc in and close tray, the dvdr980 will now be region 1 only until you repeat the above but with 1 2 1 2 1 2 0 0 5 0 0 2 PLAY, for region 2. I assume changing the last digit is for the region, I don`t own any other dvd,s apart from region 1 & 2 so I don`t know if 3 and above work. I have also tried 0 to see if that would enable you play any region without re-entering the codes but it didn`t work. I hope this helps.
