RE: 17" TFT monitor £133

Bought one of these from Aria a couple of weeks ago and have to say that for the price, they are very impressive. Well worth buying.

RE: 17" TFT monitor for £149.99

This looks to be the same Digimate brand that Aria are selling. I bought one a few weeks ago and have to say that for the price, it`s very impressive.

RE: Yamaha DVXS60 DVD Home Theatre System £149

I`ve seen a couple of reviews on the internet and they seem pretty favourable although one said that the speaker cable appeared flimsy and the treble sound was too tinny.

Does anyone know if this can be made multi-region? I`ve searched the net but can`t find anything relating to this particular model.

RE: Carry on Doctor DVD for the price of the News of the World (and possibly a trip to Blockbusters)

I sent an email to Blockbusters HQ who in turn told me to contact the News of the World customer service (is there such a thing?) department.

I phoned them up and was told that if I send the voucher in to them, I will get the DVD. We shall see.

Akai DV-P2500 5.1 decoder and free Sky Digital keyboard

Just bought an Akai DV-P2500 with built-in 5.1 decoder for £89.99 from the Sky Buy magazine and got a free Sky Digital keyboard to boot. It took 3 days from ordering to delivery.

This a really good player with brilliant picture and sound, nicely laid out remote control and it`s easily made into multi-region using the hack found on this site.

They do other audio/video equipment and the free keyboard offer is available on everything from the magazine.

Family Guy Season 1 & 2 - £16.97

The cheapest place to get Family Guy Season 1 & 2 is 101cd.com, with both being sold at the ridiculous price of £16.97. £1 cheaper than Play!

RE: LG desginer TV £90 not £120, 10% off everything at Dixons

The LG TV is currenlty being sold on the Currys website for £99.99.

Richer Sounds website - anyone having problems?

For the last 3 days, I have been checking out the Richer Sounds web site only to find it is painfully slow. The front page arrives almost instantaneously but enter the online shop and it can take well over 3 minutes for the page to load.
Anyone else had problems?

RE: Play.com....any good?

I`ve ordered at least 20 items from Play with no problems at all. They`re my first choice for buying DVD`s followed a close second by CD WOW.

Arianet DVD2255 or Cyberhome CH-DVD505 - Which is best?

I`m considering buying one of the above players to replace my Cyberhome 512 and would welcome any comments.

Akai P2500 - good or bad?

I would welcome opinions on the Akai P2500 that is currently on offer in the Sky magazine for £89.99.
Does it have a 5.1 decoder and 6 x 5.1 phono sockets on the back of the machine?

LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN CHRISTMAS SPECIAL £7.99 R2

CDWOW are currently selling Region 2 The League of Gentlemen Christmas Special for the obscene price of £7.99.

Also, quite a few of the current R2 films such as Goldmember and Ice Age are £13.99.

CHEAPEST R1 DVD`S AND IMPORT DUTY PROBLEMS

Can anybody recommend good and cheap sites to buy R1 DVD`s from?

Also, has anybody had any problems with customs when ordering over the set limit. I was about to buy Futurama box set at £29.99 from CDWOW when a pop-up window warned me that the amount was over the customs limit and a charge may have to be paid.

RE: CYBERHOME CH-DVD 505 - 5.1 CONNECTORS ?

Thanks. I`ll place my order now.

CYBERHOME CH-DVD 505 - 5.1 CONNECTORS ?

I`m considering buying this player to replace my 512. Does anybody know if the 505 has the 6 phono 5.1 connectors on the back?

CYBERHOME ADM512 NOISE PROBLEMS

I have a Cyberhome ADM512 multi-region connected to a Limit 5.1 system. Whenever I play a disc I get a loud buzzing type noise coming through the speakers. This is particularly noticeable when viewing silent pictures e.g. main menu or when a scene changes in a film. The noise can still be heard when viewing through a SCART lead but is not as loud. The only time that the noise disappears is when the disc is ejected. Anyone had a similar problem?
