RE: Multi-region DVD player is `jerky`

Many thanks for your concise reply, Mike G! :)

Multi-region DVD player is `jerky`

I have finally been able to convert my Roadstar DVD3000 player to multi-region. It was set to region 2 and obviously played DVDs from region 2 perfectly.

I am now able to switch the region code to play region 1 DVDs, but the playback is a bit `jerky`. Why would this happen on region 1 DVDs? Is it something to do with the PAL/NTSC setup in the player? The picture quality is fine.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Found it!

The hack for the Roadstar 20xx models seems to work for this one too.

1) Open the tray
2) Type 9 8 1 7 on the remote.
3) The region setting will be displayed at the top of the screen
4) Press enter until your region code appears, or use region 9 for region-free.
5) Close the tray

RE: Roadstar DVD3000 hack?

The 1090 hack doesnt work, unless I`m missing something from the `instructions`. Does anyone know where I can get the hack for this player please?
