RE: Recomend me a Freeview Digital Box . .

Hi Paull,

Yes, did try the NetGem box. Basically took both home and tried them against each other, as like you I`ve heard not so good things about the Nokia. NetGem nothing. Nokia fine. So guess the outcome means the Nokia has a slightly more sensitive tuner. I don`t want email etc from my tv, so wasn`t bothered for this and didn`t see the need for the extra 30 pounds or so.

I`d say Nokia, have still a little way to go to prove the realiabilty as I`ve had a couple of lock ups on the box. Next release of software alledgedly to fix it. Now where have I heard that before.....

Great thing about JL, you then just take back the one you don`t want !!

RE: Recomend me a Freeview Digital Box . .

interestingly enough, the netgem box didn`t work whereas the nokia did.

doesn`t the nokia have coax digital out ? if so why is the netgem better if it only has optical ?

RE: DTS or DD 5.1 on Freeview

Hi Macbeth,

I also have a nokia freeview box and was looking to connect the digital out into a decoder. Haven`t bought the dd decoder yet as wanted to ensure everything would connect as a I want.

Is this output coaxial then. I have a 221T. Is this the same as yours ?
Why do you need to connect the audio cables too ?

Cheers,
Chris
