RE: Films First May Promotion
Do you think you`re maybe overreacting a tad ?
From the thick black felt addressing I suspect they aren`t a conglomerate with hundreds of staff to immediately solve the odd f**k up.
I ve only ordered from them once but their offer DVDs were pretty cheap and it all came reasonably quickly. They didn`t have something in stock but seeing as it was £1.99 who cares ?
As if it`s going to kill you to have £6.95 debited from your card for a week. I mean it ll probably be credited back before you have to pay your card bill anyhow.
Now if they`d debited £695 and wouldnt do anything about it, I d take your point.
RE: panny er50 now @ £314 squids
Ooops I should of said it comes with a 60Gig HD too.
RE: panny er50 now @ £314 squids
Ah but wouldnt you prefer a Toshiba recordable dvd for £550 ?
Just pre-ordered one from empire direct, (do you think a retired brigadier set them up or what?).
RE: BOND DVD`S FOR £7.99
Did you know that the producer Cubby Broccolli`s (sic), family invented the vegetable ?
RE: Godfather Trilogy £17.94 Delivered.
Where do you get the promotion code from ?
RE: Clearout CD bargains at Splash
And what exactly is Mark E smith doing nowadays ?
RE: VIRGIN MEGASTORES - 3 for £20 or 5 for £30
Was feeling slightly overjoyed this morning after playing internet casino all last night, so feeling flush I went to check out what the fuss was about this virgin sale this afternoon; promptly £150 left my wallet.
Excellent sale in that there are actually quite a number of interesting and more off beat titles I actually realised I wanted when I saw them and not all stuff that`s been played on tv umpteen times either.
GO !
One good side effect of all this piracy we are always reading about is that it`s forcing the publishers and retailers into a pile em high, sell em cheap mentality.
Music MP3 To Seperates HIFI
I ve put all my music collection on a 200Gig drive, (if i had less music i d use an archos player or something but they seem to stop at 20gig) and was wondering whether anyone could recommend a good soundcard to use in the pc for best quality stereo left and right out to the amp ?
RE: anyone dealt with prcdirect.co.uk before?
Been trying to deal with them, not to successfully.
It might be unfair of me but I m not impressed with their website, you cannot track orders; or them trying to sell me something substantially more expensive because the model advertised as being available, (and still being advertised as such), isnt in stock.
Mmmm, well I ve been spoilt in my previous orders over the web which have all been trouble free.
They do have very competitive prices though. I guess one shouldnt carp too much.
RE: Thomson 52JW641S
Well if no one knows about this model, any opinions on Thomson back projectors in general ?
Thomson 52JW641S
Anyone bought one of these or read any reviews - it seems to be about £1400 (52 inch widescreen).
Is it a good screen ?
RE: CGMS Etc
And I suppose digital strippers come in many shapes and forms, what are the prices for the cheapest, medium and expensive types, who in Uk sells them ?
CGMS Etc
Which is the most advanced and up to date CGMS defeat cable/box ?
Is it the IS PRO Gold from Ktvision. I ve found all this well confusing.
I have a Panasonic HS2 and a Tosh Player which I intend to use with a IS Pro Gold cable to back up discs with.
Thanks
Panasonic HS2 & series of queries on defeating copy protection
I m very tempted to buy a HS2. Anyone put a larger HD in their one yet ?
Does anyone know when the improved model with a 80Gig disc is coming out, there is no mention of it on the Uk panasonic site ?
If I want to back up a commerical DVD, on the HS2 I understand the process is not as simple as loading it onto the HD and then burning it.
One cannot simply connect a DVD player to the HS2 via the scart to enable a recording ? Is that right ?
Assuming so, are there any UK DVD players one can buy retail which can be hacked without opening the box up to play DVDs down the scart lead to the HS2 without the copy protection signals?
Would the simplest solution be to buy a lead or box which defeats macrovision and DCSS (Something like that anyhow), etc ?
If so who sells the best value one ? What`s its model name and number ? All the sites I ve visited seem a little circumspect when describing what is removed by the lead for reasons their lawyers must be better aware of.
How does dual layer product impinge on the copying process to a dvd R?
Is there anything else I should be aware of.
Essentially, what I want to achieve is an idiot proof system to back up films without having to revert to soldering irons or time intensive PC software solutions even if that means It suffers from some drawbacks.
Would the lead solution work with VHS tapes prima facie too ?
Once I a copy via a lead to the HS2 on a DVD R would that then be copyable on the HS2 up to the HD ?
Thanks.
Ooops, finally is Play generally the best value supplier for films ? Or have I missed a trick ?
