Which 5.1 sat+sub Speaker Package?????

Hi,

Anyone recently investigated the best 5.1 sat+sub speaker package recently? I have a small living room and don`t want to use big speakers. I don`t need an amp or DVD player as I`ve just replaced them.

I`ve been looking at Kef, Mission, Sony etc...

Any advice welcome.

RE: 100hz tv or not??????????

The best advice is to go to an AV shop and look at your options. My local dealer specializes in Panasonic stuff, and I must admit it is very good. Also the new Philips 100hz stuff is excellent.

My friend has a 100hz Philips TV and he says the biggest difference he found is that it is less tiring to watch for prolongued periods. Not owning one myself, I can not comment. Obviously it is difficult to gauge how TV affects your eyes, but I have no doubt there is something in what my friend says.

Personally I love rear-projection, but if I was to go for 100hz CRT I wouldn`t compromise on quality and/or features. They are quite pricey. Otherwise go for the best 50hz TV you can afford, with all the features.

The other problem you have is the age-old problem of that there will always be a better offering just aroud the corner.....

Hope that helps.
