RE: Help & Advice needed please on LOTR: The Two Towers Extended Edition...
if you got to www.michaeldvd.com.au and look at thier review of TTT then they discuss the audio so might help you decide.
RE: Two Towers Gift Set - R1 for under £40?
I wouldn`t say the packaging is far superior. From what i`m told there is a difference between R2 normal extended edition and the collectors extended edition (box set) and the box set version is made much better than the normal extedned version. Havn`t been able to check this my self tho! I was considering getting the R1 collectos box because of the packaging but after getting the R1 two dvd versions I just can`t put up with the NTSC judder, I enjoyed watching my gf R2 version much more. Plus after recently getting out my FOTR box set and looking at the dvd packaging it is such good quality I don`t think I need to get the R1.
Also on the audi problem at Micheal DVD (R4 site) they discuss this and most of them think it is much better than the FOTR efforet. One person deosn`t notice any problems, one person thinks they do but wasn`t sure if any of the problems were supposed to be there (ie fire crackling in the background), another person again doens`t really notice anything where as one person claims the problems are still really bad but not as bad as on Fellowship.
Play.com/Playusa.com and bilingual covers and other suppliers?
Hi,
As I understand it a lot of R1 suppliers like Play get there DVD`s from canada and thus some have bilingual covers, so far I havn`t got any of these but I hear it is becoming more common. I`m going to be ordering a lot more R1 dvd`s soon and I DON`T want Bilingual covers. I know that the content is what matters but it`s just a personal preference. Is there anyway of knowing which of the DVD`s Play suppy will have Bilingual covers?? with the introduction of Play USA will there be no more Bilingual covers?
Also can someone recomend me another R1 supplier who doesn`t supply Bilingual covers? I know CD wow are generally great but don`t have the selction I need. I want quite good prices and fairly quick delelivery, I ussually only order 1 or 2 dvd`s at a time so I don`t want to be waiting ages. Thanks for the help.
The Matrix DVD questions?
The Matrix DVD questions.
I`m thinking if getting a new copy of the Matrix becasue a) only have the UK cut version and B) my copy is really mucked up. So basically should I get the Region 1 version or the Region 4 version. I hear the region 4 version has a slightly better picture and being pal won`t have the slight jerkiness like the NTSC, it also has a normal case.
However I can get the Region 1 way easier from any number of the sites which do the region 1 DVD`s, plus the NTSC version is at the proper speed, not that speed really bothers or I notice me but I suppose it is plus for Region 1.
So my questions are would you really advise getting the R4 version or does it not really matter? Is the R4 picture really better?. Finally where is the best place to get R4 dvd`s from, or specifically R4 Matrix? I don`t suppose any region one or multiregion sites sell the R4 matrix? DC-DVD does but at £21 and 7-9 days to be delivered I might as well get it from OZ. So are there any sites that sell DVD` specially to the UK that have the R4 matrix or anywhere else?
If not then what is a good Australia site to get it from. I heard Ezy DVD is excellent but i`m pretty sure they don`t accept switch or things like that or PayPal. I really would prefer somewhere that doesn`t just accept credit cards. The only place I have found I think is Devoted DVD who seem pretty cheap and accept pay pal. Any other recomendations?
store4dvd and Play Questions
Has anyone used store4dvd? They seem to be the same as Play but knock 5p off some titles, and they also seem to give you the option of an american version for a bit more than the canadian version on some titles. Everything else seems to be the same as Play tho?.
Also are Play`s DVD`s manily canadian and if so whats the difference? All my dvd`s seem the same as the american ones, theres no dual language covers or anything?
Also when it comes to customs Play ship from Belgium I think so on on items over £18 there should be no customs right?
Best place to get region one dvd`s without customs?
Getting individaul DVD`s is easy because you don`t have to worry about customs but where is the best place to get a region 1 box set from without worrying about customs?
RE: MovieTyme???
I read some other posts that the re-package in the country so you don`t get customs, so why does it then say on the site you will get charged customs?
MovieTyme???
Has anyone used MovieTyme for there Region 1 DVD`s, some of there prices are pretty good and they have free UK shipping? Also they say on there site that any Customs you have to pay they will refund you? Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with them?
RE: Play Down?
I also have this problem, since yesterday evening, was sure it would be back by this morning? Anyone else having this problem or has contacted them about it in anyway?
