Ordered Jetset Radio Future (with GT2002) to collect in store @ Mansfield Nottinghamshire and recieved a phone call within 10 mins saying first they could not find one anywhere then saying there had been a pricing mistake on the website Grrrrrr >:( Oh well it was worth a try. No wonder we lost the League Two play off final to Huddersfield Town that year :D

PS leaving Barry Gibb on the bench was a fatal mistake :p

Looks nice and is stereo, but i know nothing of DAB but would like one for our kitchen.....anybody know if this is any good?

Cosmetically this looks exactly the same as the Tevion TEVHS4 which, incidently, Aldi are selling for £109.

What they said was "you can use the hack for the Phillips 750 (look in the multiregion hacks section for this) but the "slight draw back" is you have to do it blind as no display appears", i hope this solves it for you.

2. Press "2168" on the remote
3. The word "Region 4" should appear on Australian players.
4. Press the ENTER button to cycle thru region choices
5. Power OFF.

Some people are saying the file from the French site is corrupted!!! But i cannot verify this. I have found what is said to be an uncorrupted file and put it on my site bingbong
Click on "Toshiba Firmware Upgrade", instructions are included with the file.
Please note, i have not tested this and upgrading your firmware is done at your own risk.

To make your player multiregion (not macrovision free i`m afraid)
Go here - sd220e.chez.tiscali.fr/
Download the file and burn to cd-r with the instructions provided.
This hack works by "flashing" the firmware of your player, according to input by others it will work with the SD-330E, although i cannot verify this.
Flashing your firmware is done at your own risk.

I`m assuming the unit is Region 1 by default then, try this to reset your player -
Press PLAY
Press 159
Press PLAY

To go back to Region 2 -
Press PLAY
Press 15923200208
Press PLAY

If this works then you could try changing the first number "after" 159 in the code to maybe 0, so 15903200208, might make it multiregion but just a guess lol. Don`t know if there is a limit to the number of changes though.

A new button called Version will now appear in the Setup window
Press Down until you come to Version
Press Play
Press Up or Down to select the required region. Choices are from 0 to 6
Press Setup

You never said what model your Philips is!!
But just thinking, you said you use the "play,1 5 9" method, have you checked to see if your player is one that can be hacked using this method with a "One for All" remote control - www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/philips750.asp
If it can do it lol, this hack enables true multiregion including RCE discs.
It also works even if the player is locked after 25 changes.

Your unit is one i found, visually it is almost identical to the Bush combi so try this hack, worth a go :D

Sorry to say though, but there is no way to disable macrovision on this player i assure you.
The only way around it would be to buy a filter eg:

It worked
press DVD/TV
press DVD
open tray
press setup
press menu arrows: right, left, down, up
press display
At this point the region screen appears as i had before, but this time the current region setting is highlighted.
press 0: the word ALL now appears( 1 for region 1 etc)
press enter
player is now region free

Thanks for trying PARIS but all that does is scroll from tv type to tv display on the setup menu with no visible results.
Just to check, for NEXT i pressed >>I and for PREV i pressed I<<, tried it slow and fast lol.

Hi all :D

Right i`ve worked this out myself lol

(all buttons on remote)
1 Press DVD/TV button
2 Press the DVD function
3 Press open
4 Press stop
5 Press display
Now you get the firmware version number (i think) and below it the region number on screen, now is this the start of a way to change it or just an information screen.
Any help would be appreciated, so for those who would kindly take a look here is a link to a couple of screenshots. After you click on "screenshots" the first pic is what you get pressing the above buttons and the second is just the setup page which i have included in case anyone can identify the chip etc.

Oh well, it seems this is where the quest ends for now :(

Been told by "ppl in the know" that there is no known hack for this machine "as yet".

Tempted to take it to bits and have a look but the wife would kill me ;)
