RE: Lenoxx HT600 home theatre Region Hack

looking round the web,

it appears that this company: eastech manufacture the unit, and here`s a link to a piccy from there web site!!

http://www.eastech.com.tw/Products_website/DR3110.pdf

so, maybe we need to search for DR3110?

RE: Lenoxx HT600 home theatre Region Hack

hmm

good in one way, bad in the other! (at least its hackable)

how on earth to we progress with this??

do we keep opening the DVD tray and typing in random 4 digit numbers???

what a mad world we live in!

(but what a great piece of kit for £99!!)

RE: Need a multi region hack for a TEVION HT95

in reply to Uncle bucks question about my opinion on the Safeway system.

i must admit i didn`t want to take back the Tevion as it was a really nice piece of kit. However, now i have unpacked the Safeway machine, it is even better (i was a bit dubious!!)

Firstly it has two external AV`s, the third is via the scart lead, so when you flick to AV mode on the DVD unit and the TV is on, the audio comes through the 5 speakers! easy.

Secondly its a doddle to setup (colour coded leads etc, so ideal for the older relative), the tuner has the RDS display so radio1 appears etc when listening to the tuner.

Thirdly it has a standby button!

Fourth, you can set the individual output of each speaker, so if your speakers aren`t optimally positioned you can adjust there volume

And last but not least, it is 150 watts not 105 watts!

On balance, i would spend £10 more and you get a load more bells and whistles!

RE: Need a multi region hack for a TEVION HT95

sorry guys,

taking the Tevion back to Aldi today and have already bought the system from Safeway.

so, good luck in finding your hack for the Tevion, im off to find a hack for the Safeway system!

RE: Need a multi region hack for a TEVION HT95

if you are having trouble getting sound from the rear speakers when listening to the radio, press the FM mode or FM Stereo button on the remote.

alternatively there is, in the setup screen a `test` mode which puts out a tone to each speaker in turn. i found a few of my speakers weren`t working, but it was the fact that my cables weren`t seated correctly, but using the test tone mode sorted the problem.

sorry, once again i have strayed of the original hack posting.

RE: Need a multi region hack for a TEVION HT95

thanks for that,

so heres a controversial question, say if I return my until to Aldi, is there a system out there with the features of the Tevion, but with the bells and whistles that we want (mainly the external audio input) for a little more money? I have read that Safeway had a unit for sale a little while

sorry to move away from the original forum topic,

stu.

RE: Need a multi region hack for a TEVION HT95

hi guys,

i to purchased the HT95 a week or so ago, and have followed this forum intensely!!

Im starting to get a little concerned that i may have bought the wrong piece of kit, and for a bit more money i could get something that had an AV input (and a standby button!!)

did ALDI put a fuss when you guys returned your players?

(on the subject of no audio through the speakers, i had the same problem with a couple of my speakers because i hadn`t made the connections properly between the DVD player and the speaker units)

multi region hack/enhancement - im looking and will post anything if I find it
