Broadband 512MB £15 per month (£30 -£15 of free phone calls at discount rates to BT)

I am already on the £15 dial-up service and get £15 call credit (so free 24-7 dial up) but now you can get Broadband on a similar deal (min 12 month contract).

Sunset Beach has been back 3 weeks

I mean its a Superb trashy american soap - depends on why you like it - great for gossip, its addictive and probably one more for the girls as very bitchy types in the series.

Did anyone record the last 3 weeks shows onto DVDs?

I have only just found out they are re-showing this every day when I`m at work at 10:30am - spread the word for any teenagers, oldtimers etc. as then CH5 will buy rights for the omnibus showing too.

(Yep, I love Sunset Beach)

RE: Memories of childhood - Tin Tin, Very Tempting!

Eh hem, any promotional codes going for this site (I was going to buy this anyway).

RE: Sainsburys Mico R311 DVD Recorder - Now £49.99 (And some Home Theatre also)

A little birdy, who might not be a user of this forum says:-

At middayish today

"Sainsbury`s SAVASTORE in lower sydnham has a few left, their number is 0208 225 5000"

RE: Sainsburys Mico R311 DVD Recorder - Now £49.99 (And some Home Theatre also)

If anyone recalls, I thought I`d nip down to my local savacentre to bag a bargain and check to see what their stock levels are like as I recalled seeing stacks a few days before so on Friday evening, I did nip down and alas bagged the last one! - totally unrecognizable plain white box +2 barcode stickers by the way. Got the nice lady at the lectricals helpdesk to scan it and sure enough £49.99 so asked could you hang on while I pick up me pint of milk so she did. Grabbed 1 pint of semi-skimmed and gave her me £5 off £50 voucher and asked her to wrap it up nicely with a big bow (got a bin liner but hey, £45 plus 1 yr guarantee is almost a freebie!). The lady said she knew they were on offer at £49.99 as they had sold the stack I had seen previously and may even get some more!

Took me box home and wondered how to break it to hubby... he was v. good about it and was telling family next day how we got it for next to nothing. They all looked on shocked and said we want one each!

Went to PCWorld on Sat morning, dug out £5 off dvd 10 pack voucher from some previous purchase and bought myself 15 pack (3x5) Hewlett Packard DVD+RW at £19.99-£5 (pound per RW disc). Setup pet mico v.easily just by replacing the video and tried out my the record from telly and all worked a treat first time. I have sky and a medion 5.1 dvd home cinema in which this played fine too. More time needed for advanced testing but so far so v.good!

Anyway, for anyone that fancies just checking the store its Beckton Savacentre in London, E6 area phone 0208 477 4700 - good luck!

RE: Sainsburys Mico R311 DVD Recorder - Now £49.99 (And some Home Theatre also)

Err... 4? did I hear 4? Please, enlighten me what does one do with er.... 4 exactly?

RE: Sainsburys Mico R311 DVD Recorder - Now £49.99 (And some Home Theatre also)

Well, I`m in the London area but the last time I checked they were still priced up at £84.99, hence the stack of them so will verify if now dropped to £49.99 at my local. I will report back overnight, if they have dropped in price and how many they have on shop floor/in stock - didn`t look as if anyone was in a hurry to buy them as they were very clearly labelled `refurbished`.

RE: Sainsburys Mico R311 DVD Recorder - Now £49.99 (And some Home Theatre also)

Hey, I`ve got a big store near me, and the last time I checked they had a stackful so just a question of price - got £5 off £50 vouchers mailed to me last night too so wonder if I can just nab this at £45 - okay, I might have to buy a pint of milk to take it over £50 but hey, that`s life.

RE: DVD Recorder with 80GB HDD & timeslip at £299

Removed from sale altogether now - lucky toe rags that bagged one!

RE: DVD Recorder with 80GB HDD & timeslip at £299

Although these 300F vs 300H models are essentially the same, 300H is the newer model which supports recording in 5.1 (is my understanding).

This I understand to be the main difference although there may be one other new feature in 300H that is, auto recording of the last 12 hours of last set channel. This may well be in 300F though too - maybe if someone buys the 300F model they can confirm this.

Overall, I think this is a good deal hence, I will be getting one but might wait until someone can confirm some of the differences which hopefully won`t be too late.

I wonder how many of these they have in stock...

RE: for those who can remember the origanal series

excellent - I`m definitely buying this as my husband never knew of the original or the story (I`m not telling him either!)

Also, I noticed they have a `Dallas` series 1 & 2 box set on their site too - I never watched the early series but great for avid fans

RE: £50 for 1 yr on Vodafone 200 anytime / network type of tarriff

Thanks guys it is such a good job that you have done in digging out this info - I hope nobody falls for them.

RE: T-Mobile Online Everyone Tarriff

Still, I think diverse has a point here there is no way one should pay 50p/min for cust service - why are we not customers????? coz u can bet if we have to pay for calling them then we are likely to get all the more shoddy service - well wouldn`t you if you could make profit out of it?

They say on the same web page that it is free from the handset, charged at local rate and charged at 50p min so which is it exactly????

T-Mobile Online Everyone Tarriff

Hi Fellow Forumites,

Did anyone here know about these new tarriffs that T-Mobile have brought out rather quietly or have I just been sleeping again?

http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/Dispatcher?menuid=pas_pp_paym_landing

eg. It seems if you switch from the Everyone 100 plan @£21 per month, to
Online Everyone 100, you get free online bills (plus paper ones) - minus £3!

I am gonna switch from Everyone 200 from £29 to £25 - minus £4 (for nothing!)

I`m gonna give it a whirl.

PS There are even new phone packages available on these tarriffs - like the Nokia 6230 with MP3 player @£29.99 on Everyone 200

Gave this a whirl...

The customer service advisor knew nothing about these price plans but managed to find them (she was not even on the web) - then when she tried to change me my bill date being 18th of month means I have to call back 17th July-what a loada .... normally you can switch instantly but for some reason she couldn`t help much - gonna try again with someone who does know something or can at least override their system ie. a supervisor or something!

Euro 2004 Freebie Promotion for existing T-Mobile customers on Everyone 100/200 Tarriffs

Hi All,

A little birdy tells me that if you call T-Mobile and tell them that you are on these tarriffs they will upgrade you to get an extra 45mins /90 mins talktime plus 50 texts for nowt extra.

Has anyone tried this and how did you get on?

RE: Blockbuster DVD rental by post, free one month trial!

I can highly recommend screenselect.co.uk

I do not recommend them - I have started a free trial and the priority list is not stuck to although not quite random either and, they have just introduced a new clause due to low stock that first 4 weeks is reserved for paying customers - tried choiceserental - much better! - will try blockbusters next as seem like cheaper version of choiceserental and might stick with them if delivery turnaround is good!
