I've just bought the LG DNX190UH made in October 2006 and guess what? None of the handset hacks work! :o The new Zoran chipset is to blame apparently.

Following a brief panic, I found the following procedure and it works!!

So if you are having problems, use the following. No NTSC judder either so the new chipset must have fixed it.

First you have to download linked file called "LG36868.IMG"

1. Then you have to burn this file to a blank CD

2. After burning, insert the CD into the DVD player and press play

3. Then the region management menu will be shown.

4. Input "0" to make it multi-region and then press the "pause" key by Remote Control.

And there you have it, one multi-region LG DNX190UH. Now start enjoying your DVD collection again :)

Try this one:

To convert this player to Multi-Region playback
1. Press the Pause button on your remote control
2. Using your remote control enter the code 3, 1, 4, 1, 5 and 9 Note: If your unit does not enter the following mode which enables you to enter a region code, repeat steps 1 and 2. You may need to enter these codes in a shorter time span for them to work.
3. Press the 0 button on your remote control for Region free, 1 for Region 1 or 2 for Region 2.
4. Press the Pause button on your remote control
5. Power off your player and wait a few seconds
6. Power on your player

Let us know if it works

Still, I thought, 2006 is a new year and yet; WTF they`re back!!

Inane postings and cruuddy jokes do not make bargains!

Normally £159.99 reduced to £99.99 + £2.49 P&P. It`s a great machine and I haven`t seen it any cheaper - unless someone know any different :)

They were selling Dysons cheap and a variety of non tv stuff so they were clearing out their other cupboards as well. In the future, if they put up something I wanted - I ain`t got room for another tv 8) -at a price I thought was good I wouldn`t hesitate to order from them.:D

I thought that some of the complaints started to get a bit pathetic really. If you get really messed around that`s one thing but people strted to bitch when prices went down!! Alert the lawyers and phone watchdog!!?? Perrrleeese :o

By the way, the 28" Sammy widescreen is still in stock at £200 ;) :D

I`d be interested to find out how many people have been disappointed versus how many are well chuffed :/

I think the grief that has been given to skybuy recently will have stopped them from offering any further clearouts and that`s a real shame :(

:o I know you`re miffed but...

I don`t think you`ve got a leg to stand on squire. You may get some good will gesture but s*d all else.

Consumer rights are one thing but it cuts both ways. This was a real bargain event and if you missed out , well i guess it`s... well.... tough :p

If you have a claim i suppose it would be around inconvenience - not for skybuy to pay the difference between their bargain and what you finally paid :/

Despite the skybuy website no longer having a clearance section, if you enter 28 or dvd in the product code box, guess what :)

Anyone brave enough to order? I`ve had no problems at all but it seems some have so who knows :/
