Grundig Sky box

I`ve just got a LG LCD tv and the remote is capable of controlling VCR, DVD and satellite box when a four digit code is fed into it. Does anyone know the code for a Grundig 210 sat box.

Grundig digital satellite box code

Hi all,

I`ve just got a LG LCD tv and the remote for it can control the basic functions of VCR, DVD and satellite when a four digit code for the model/make of the item is entered into it. Does anyone know the code number for a Grundig GDS210 box. :/

RE: Why can`t I play my cd single video tracks with XP

Hi Mark,

With them being CD`s they worked OK under Windows 98 it only now that I am using Windows XP that I can`t get them to work. I been told that its something to do with XP.

Why can`t I play my cd single video tracks with XP

CD singles video track not seen by Windows XP won`t even launch bundled quick time player, XP uptodate with sp2 still no go >:(

RE: Windows XP and enhanced music cd singles video track

RE: Windows XP and enhanced music cd singles video track

Hi JamesL
I`ve got neither, which should I download.

RE: Windows XP and enhanced music cd singles video track

Hi JamesL,

Tried that but no difference still only shows up the audio files. Ive heard that its something to do with Windows XP itself.

Windows XP and enhanced music cd singles video track

I`ve got Windows XP running on my pc, but the media player won`t play the video track on my enhanced cd singles in fact all it sees is the audio tracks, have got Quicktime player and Windows media player 10 but no success, Never had this problem with Windows 98. Been on the Microsoft website and even sent them a letter, got a reply back saying look at their website, so unless you cough up about £35 to them to respond to an e-mail, their usless. :/

RE: Pioneer DVR3100

Hi Phelings,

Many thanks for the advice, go some Verbatim discs and all of them work fine, problem solved! :)

RE: Pioneer DVR3100

Hi Phelings,

I`ve already got one, the problem is its skipping on most of my re-recordable discs. I using Packard Bell & TDK. Do you think it could be the disc what do you use in your machine.

Pioneer DVR3100

Has anyone had any problems with this machine?

Is my telly on its last legs??????

I have a Sanyo 25DN2 tv, when switching on after a short while the picture either turns to a widescreen size but the picture is distorted acompanied by a humming noise and then goes off with the sound still on or just goes off with the sound still ok. Turning it off at the standby button and then back on it comes back to normal but sometimes this does not work and the standby light flashes, only after trying it a few minutes later does screen come back to normal.

Pioneer DVR 3100

My dvd recorder is only a few months old and has not been hacked in any way but left as standard, however it does skip on re-recordable disks (ok on pre-recorder films, etc.). When this does happen sometimes the whole machine goes dead with the display total black and nothing on the TV screen, only pressing the standby button did the machine come back on. I am using TDK and Packard Bell blank dvd`s, any ideas anyone. :(

RE: Phillips DVDR 880 faults

I just want to bring you all up to speed with whats happening with my Phillips DVDR 880 Well after being away at Phillips for three weeks and despite requesting an upgrade to a newer model, this I was informed, not possible. A couple of days later my machine arrived back, however I was told by the engineer that they did`nt know what had been done to it by Phillips as there was no advice notes enclosed with it, so he could`nt tell me if it was working or not as it was still wrapped in their original shrink wrapping. I contacted the retailer, who fortunately thought the same as me, enough was enough and is going to give me my money back and let their legal department take over. Again Phillips poor product, crap service and non existent backup.
Avoid them like the plague!!!! >:(

DVD-RW and DVD-RAM

DVD - RW and DVD - RAM what`s the difference and do`nt they do basically the same job anyway ?, by using a recordable blank dvd disc just like video tape, I mean in recording a item and when viewed record over it so to speak.

Anyone out there had any experience with the Pioneer DVR-3100 as I looking for a similar speced machine as my now deceased Phillips DVDR880.

Phillips DVDR 880 faults

I have a Phillips DVDR 880 which on four occasions whilst recording and during playback has gone off completely with nothing on the display and no reponse from the remote and the buttons on the unit. When unplugged and lefted of for 30 minutes or so it will work when powered up. I sent a e-mail to Phillips (UK) telling them of the problem I was experiencing and a request for information with regards to faults etc. that had come to light with this model. After a fews days I recieved a reply saying "sorry that I was having problems with their equipment but that I would have to contact the retailer to get an engineer to to look at it". The engineer sent by the retailer could do nothing on site and had to take it away, they have had it for two weeks and now it has had to be sent to Phillips. After looking at the DVD Reviewer and other sites I have had all the problems listed ie. not playing and skipping pre-recoded discs (which play fine in my old & cheap JMB player) , leading brands of blank discs not been recognised both R & RW, it also has problems in memorising stations and especially the satelite system. Phoned Phillips who said if I wanted to speak to an engineer I would have to pay them a fee & that it was up to the retailer to provide a replacement machine or money back. I feel Phillips has ripped me & many others off with this model of player >:(
