Take it that you had no idea that this was coming.

I`ve been waiting for a refund for a cancelled order for a while not sure if I will be seeing that money again. I placed an order a few days ago and i`m wondering if that money will be going from my account as well, never to be seen again!

It was inevitable when I think about it that this was going to happen. There is a lot of competition in the DVD trade and every other supplier I have dealt with has better customer service. The only thing that kept splash going was cheap deals I think but it`s a bit dodgy that these emails for this sale have been going out and then the web-site disappears to be replaced by a message.

I`m sorry you lost your job I am really. You seem decent enough. Maybe another DVD supplier will have a vacancy you can apply for.

I am curious to know if the owners/managers of Splash DVD are aware of all these (often negative) opinions and what they think about it?

Overall I would say my experience has been ok.

If splash could improve communication, which I understand is underway that would be a good start. Accurate stock information I would like to see. Emails if the item is out of stock. The ability to cancel an order online.

I would prefer if money wasn`t taken until item ready for despatch.

The best things about splash are the colourful web-site, the prices, the special deals/clearance offers...

See not all negative stuff!

I think along similar lines with splashdvd. I think they only have lots of stock of new releases and titles that sell a lot. If it`s not so popular I think they wait until they have an order or enough orders to make it viable from them to order, in other words keeping financial risk lower than if they had stock of all items regardless of popularity. This is probably the way they keep their prices so low. I ordered Fireball XL5 on the 22nd, waited a while and then emailed them to ask if it was in stock or not and I was told it was on order. Got the DVD on the 12th of the following month. Most suppliers would email to say its out of stock such as CDWOW.

Their customer service could do with improvement. It`s hard to get through by phone and sometimes emails dont get answered.

I don`t like how they take the money whether its in stock or not but this is stated in the Terms and Conditions.

Of all the suppliers I have used they have impressed me the least but they have some amazing prices.
