To the new samsung camcordered users,

Now that you have owned this equipment for a while.
How does it perform?
What`s the picture quality like?
And the low light performance? (Not 0lux but filming at dusk/ overcast conditions etc)

Still haven`t made my mind up? Still wondering whether Sony will deliver better picture quality, but love the price of samsung

I am looking to purchase a camcorder (miniDV)

Was about to settle for a Sony HC18, but walked into Dixons and they showed me Samsung VPD230 on special. It had all these extra features for better price than sony.
Then today found same site as you mentioned for best price.

BUT I am very nervous because not sure about samsung, or whether lense quality/ noise from machine/ and audio quality ie mic onto cam/ as good as Sony.

Have you had any problems todate?
Would you recommend Samsung?
