RE: JVC DR-M1 DVD Recorder

Thanks for quick reply.

When mine locked up it keeps flashing `loading` and just sits there forever. Turn it off and back on and it cleras for a while but it is does it again intermittently.

The engineer said it was a resistor. I dont know cause I am not a techie. Mastcare had it for nearly 2 weeks but he did say they have had a lot back.

Its fine now.

Funny enough, only this morning I took the infra red downstairs to hook up with sky plus but now you saved me the hassle. I guess I will have to record on sky plus and copy to the DVD which wastes time and means ou cant watch telly whilst its doing it. With 6 hours of GCSE revision for Adam on GCSE Bitesize thats a pain!

I never used DVd Ram - I use single speed DVD-r unbranded because they only cost 20 pence a disc. Bad news is the copmany i last used to buy them seem to have stopped doing them so I have now moved to double speed.

I have had some trouble playing back VCDs I burned on my PC from downloaded movies.

Thank for the advice on the multi region.

I recently bought yamada multi region DVd and avi player which i recommend to you for £59. Plays pretty much anything you throw at it and of course if you are into downloading its great to play back avi files.

Hi There.

Glad you found my info useful to make your infra red.

Now your turn to help me! How do you make this darn thing region free?

Just one more thing - my machine developed a fault and kept locking up. The engineer said it needed a mod as they had several machines back so if you are thinking of buying, make sure they have a service facility.

RE: JVC DR-M1 DVD Recorder

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me where I can find a multi region fix for the DR M1 Recorder to enable me to play some of my DVDs I bought in the USA. I am stuck with playing region 2 at the moment :(
