I just got in touch with a retailor recommended by iriver themselves and they reckon the new iriver comes with software enabling the transference of track listing and titles with the actual tunes so you don`t have to go renaming every track.

On the recharging front you can either recharge the lithium battery through AC adaptor (16 hours playback) and im thinking the battery recharges auto when you are downloading through the pc (not sure about this).

That`s all very well, but can you tell me straight will I be able to use the iriver hp120 with the Mac? I know its compatible but will the music be stored with the track listings and artists or will it just be a load of music without any corresponding info?

Please help out there as I`m on the verge of buying one but need to make sure all will be ok!

I`m thinking of getting one myself. All my music is stored on a Mac - is this a problem as I have no other way of downloading my music?
