The Shield: Season 3 (R2)

Any of you guys know when The Shield: Season 3 (R2) is getting released over here as it`s been out in the states since February?

Thanks.

RE: back to £10.99

Sent the tight sods this

"I`m sorry but that`s not good enough, you made the "mistake" and there fore you have to honour the price for everyone that`s ordered it!

And if you don`t, I will cancel all 2 pages of my Pre-orders and shop else where.

Lee."

I just don`t think it`s right, I mean I have 20 pages of orders and 2 pages of pre-orders from play!

RE: back to £10.99

Archos AV480

I just bought the Archos AV480, it arrived yesterday and so far it`s a niffty little machine.

But I`m hoping to put most of my DVD's onto it, so does anyone know where I could D/load some software (For "FREE" obviously ) that'll convert DVD's into DivX format or any other format that'll work on it?

Here's the AV480 : http://www.mp3players.co.uk/site/uk/archos_av480.html

Cheers in advance!

Don`t worry that it says "Temporarily Out of Stock" as it said that when I ordered mine, just ring up and order it, they should have some in stock (Fingers crossed) also it came the next day!

Now all I need is a decent Subwoofer cable, any ideas?

RE: Replacement Sub Woofer.

Recieved it this morning fella, and guess what?...... No humming!!!!!!!!!!

I`m so pleased, already watched 3 movies this morning, going to put my old one on ebay soon!

Lee.

RE: Replacement Sub Woofer.

Should be ordering it tomorrow fella!

RE: Replacement Sub Woofer.

Yeah no problem fella!

RE: Replacement Sub Woofer.

Got this reply from them

"All of our subwoofer range is magnetically shielded, they should all be
completely silent as well, you must have had some background hum caused by
earthing previously. The SW015 will go down to 30Hz while the 215 goes
doen to 28Hz.

Paul Davey

Yamaha Electronics (UK) Ltd

So it`s looks like I might just buy a Yamaha sub, or should I wait until you`ve looked/listened to some first?

RE: Replacement Sub Woofer.

Thanks for the reply fella, we need to sort this problem out!

You can buy our "Badly designed" subwoofer from here http://www.hifibitz.co.uk/product.asp?id=2806

But anyway, I was going to buy the "Tannoy" one in the link above, but I emailed the company with this mail

"Hi, I`m interested in buying the "Tannoy Mercury mXSUB10-M Subwoofer" but I need to ask a few question`s first.

1) Is it Magnetically shielded?

2) Is it completely silent when switched on? because the one I have at the moment makes a humming noise when on and that's even when it`s not connected to anything, So it`s not interference or anything , It`s a "Sony SAWM200 Active Subwoofer"

3)What`s the Low frequency response`s lowest response

Thanks
Lee."

And got this reply:

"Hi Lee,
Thank-you for your enquiry. The MxM Sub is not magnetically shielded. The sub is not completely silent as there is a large mains transformer, this will emit a certain amount of mains hum, although this should not be detectable from a short distance. Once the sub is positioned which in most cases is close to the television, from the sitting position this would not be detectable. The MxM sub will go as low as 35Hz at -6Db for a typical room response. Please note the MxM Sub is now in the process of being discontinued and replaced with our NEW Subs TS-8 and TS-10. Please visit our web site: www.tannoy.com to view these subs.

Best Regards, Gabriel O`Donohue"

It sounds like it has all the problems that the Sony one has, so I aint buying that one!

This one looks decent though, and it's been getting great reviews :
http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetails/index.asp?modelcode=YAM-YSTSW215&affiliateid=82

I've emailed Yamaha to ask them if it's completely silent when switched on , but no reply as of yet!

Lee.

RE: Replacement Sub Woofer.

42%er. have you got links to any sites that sell Subs?

Thanks

RE: Home cinema problem

The tight sods.
I paid £300 for mine, and I don`t think it`s that cheap seen as though my friend bought this one, and it`s doesn`t "HUM" when it's switch on :/ it`s pretty good for it`s price, and it supports DTS.

http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=2501&productId=110337&Trail=C$cip=16704>C$Brand=LG&categoryId=16704

P.S. When you find another sub to buy, I will get the same one as well and hopefully the bloody thing won`t "HUM" like this little ba*tard!
