You can buy a voltage regulator from maplin part number "UJ55K" priced about 60 pence it will drop the voltage from 12 to 9 , it is fairly easy to connect, it will have three connections input, common and output. good luck!

:/ tried the hack posted by "metal480" on videohelp.com, although it lets you in to the service menu, there is no sub menu to allow you to make changes to the region settings. If any body out there who has been able to do this would please let me know
