RE: TV has no scart socket, can I connect my VCR and a DVD player
Hi
Just been to that particular web site but as I haven`t a clue about where to find info about Macrovision and how to turn it off can you offer any further pointers? thanks
RE: TV has no scart socket, can I connect my VCR and a DVD player
Hi,
Thanks for the advice, just tried the setup you described and it seems to work ok apart from a flickering of the brightness of the dvd from light to dark etc etc, wondered what that was all about?....may try another scart lead I have see if that will correct it, having the video on seems a small price to pay :)
TV has no scart socket, can I connect my VCR and a DVD player
I`m thinking about buying my dad a dvd player for christmas, and the one i`m getting has one scart socket. Unfortunately my dad`s TV has no scart socket, and so at the moment he has it connected to a VCR by the aerial socket, and the VCR does have 2 scart sockets, could anyone tell me if I can add him this DVD player to his setup?
RE: Sky + connecting something else? help please
Well I looked at the link but slightly different problem to mine............I need VERY basic instruction!! My TV has 4 scart sockets, my video has 2, my sky box has 2 , my DVD has 1 and my new DVD recorder has 2 also....here`s hoping....I`m just going round and round in circles......do you need to know what is written on each scart socket, cos someone was talking about scart IN and scart OUT but i`m not sure which is which
RE: RELISYS DVD Recorder for £89 @ STAPLES
I saw that too, I think it means DVD`s which are coded region 0 (all region) - would love to be wrong though and there`s a way of making it read all my other region DVD`s
RE: Cheap as chips Liteon LVW5005

Sky + connecting something else? help please
Hi
I`m very new to this so please be patient with me. I have a philips TV, Video and DVD player (which is multi region) and also sky + which was installed about 4 weeks ago now. I now want to connect a DVD recorder that I bought this morning, to back up stuff from my Video and Sky + hard drive. As this new DVD recorder is not multi - region, I would like to keep everything else, is there any way I can add it to my setup, and if so how and where ??
RE: RELISYS DVD Recorder for £89 @ STAPLES
Wow!! Thanks so much for your advice, got straight round to the Southport store (despite the hour traffic jam in Ormskirk) and on the shelf there it was for £179.99, when I asked for it to be scanned at the till it was £89.99, the bloke at the till was even more surprised than I was!!! :)
RE: RELISYS DVD Recorder for £89 @ STAPLES
I Just phoned the Southport Store, They knew nothing of the offer at all, cheapest one they had was a recorder at £149........so anyone else found any at any other stores???
