anybody had any luck getting a stand for this tv? only certain stores sell the stands, and i didn`t manage to get one, however my parents local store sold the stand with the tv. i`m trying to get one of my own but i`m not having much luck with sainsbury`s, seeing as my local store has never had one in, and the other one insist that they wouldn`t be able to sell me one seeing as i didn`t buy it with the tv. it`s a bit unfair, isn`t it?

i just bought one to replace a mico siglo t120 from sainsbury`s seeing as it wouldn`t play half my dvd`s and kept crashing all the time. for playing dvd`s it seems a hell of a lot better, however, i paid £25 extra for a dvd player of the same class, and all i got was 30W extra power and 8 rubbish movies on two dvd`s.

other bad things is that the dvd player is BLOODY HUGE and that the central speaker has no way of standing it on it`s side. the speakers also have no screwthread attachments so if you have speaker stands, you`ll have to use the keyshaped hole instead. the subwoofer is much smaller than with my old system.

anyway, each of the speakers are 15W/4ohms and the subwoofer is 25W/8ohms

overall, i`d sooner have the mico back if only it could play my dvd`s properly.

ahhh yes, i noticed that. thing is, because you can`t hit the standby button to switch the tv on, it means that if you program your tv into a STB remote (sky digital/ntl:home) like I have, you cannot switch the TV on from that remote. Either you need to keep the TV remote handy or switch it on from the TV.

also, the other bug that i repoted is not the fault of the tv, but the fault of the settop box.

there`s nothing wrong with my RF cables, i`ve inspected them, they are all okay.

more bugs: i`ve noticed that sometimes the right hand side of the screen gets cut off about 3/4`s of the way across when in widescreen mode, this is usually fixed by switching the tv off and then on again.

another bug is that you cannot actually turn on the tv by hitting the standby button on the remote, you have to get up, walk to your tv and hit one of the program +/- buttons to do this. rather annoying really.

i`ve just bought one of these myself, not bad. there were plenty in store but the manager said they were selling fast. i was expecting it to be far deeper than it was, but it`s pretty good. the remote is rather nasty looking, though i managed to program it to my NTL remote easily enough using one of the goodmans settings (399 i think).

Has anybody managed to get a decent picture via the RF input? I can`t get anywhere as near a good picture as i did with my old tv, and the picture quality of the RF cable from my digital STB (Samsung SMT-2100C) is poor too. I`m not too bothered because I use the SCART AV lead for my STB but could I have a fault with the tuner, or could I have not tuned it in properly? (i`ve tried doing the fine settings too)

by the way, i`m not quite keen on the idea of it going bang. :P
