However my remote does not have sound/off and menu does not seem to do anything at all. So is there a bit more one has to do to get Martin`s hack to work?

Hi Martin and thanks for the hack for Aldi Tevion 80032.

I cannot get it to work with my remote (the one that came with the recorder)
is there other preparation that has to be done before you use this.

The is no `sound/off` button...do you mean `mute`?

`menu` does not do anything.
