The Guns of Navarone

Just finished watching this great movie on dvd and I must say its a classic. It`s entertaining even though the sound track sound aged (its in 5.1). For the info of those who are too young to have seen this movie when it first hit the screens in 1961... it was nominated for 7 Academy Awards and stars Gregory Peck, Anthony Quinn, James Darren etc.
Go get a copy of this movie and enjoy........

This must be the Mother of all dvd websites

Hey there everyone, I must say that I love this website and all you guys out there. This is indeed the Mother of All dvd website. Haven`t found another one that`s as informative and lively.

Cheers...

RE: Regional Coding Enhancement (RCE) has recently been added

Thank you, Daniel. The website you pointed me to is a great help.

RE: Regional Coding Enhancement (RCE) has recently been added

Its also the case with "The Shining" R1 dvd. I wonder if it will play on a Pioneer 525 mulit-region player? Would appreciate if someone can help me with this before I place an order for the disc.

Region Coding of DVDs

When will the movie studios come to their senses? They are putting out DVDs with region codes and we have DVD players capable of playing DVDs of any region code. It is such a waste of energy, time and money.
Obviously, these movie studios are not achieving their objective of staggering the release of DVDs to various parts of the world. C`mon stop this nonsense and give everyone a break.
