RE: Pioneer DVR 420H

There is a hack available on disc - the manufacturers contacted me after I posted here so they may have already contacted you. If not try a website which has the words dvd +chips run together as its title & add.co.uk - despite rules saying one can post links if not advertising (and I`m not, just glad I managed to find something that worked), I can`t post an actual link.
I THINK you are supposed to be able to copy from disc to hard drive but possibly only discs you have recorded. I think there are software codes on commercially produced discs to prevent piracy but if you are having problems copying a disc you have made, better recheck the manual.

RE: Anyone have a hack for Pioneer DVR 420H?

A site e-mailed me and do supply a hack (on a disc) for £20 (incl VAT) it worked really well. Although the forum rules say I can post a link it keeps getting replaced with asterisk. They are a uk site and very efficient. The name contains the words dvd and chips run together and they market a number of Pioneer hacks on their site.

Anyone have a hack for Pioneer DVR 420H?

Went into the shop with a list of systems I knew could be multi-region, found only two models which fitted the bill & thought this was bound to be OK . I`m pretty sure there IS a hack (other than "renting" a chipped remote) and wondered if anyone had found one - your users do seem to share their info so I`m keeping my fingers crossed (though not holding my breath).
Thanks
