RE: Liteon LVW 5005

as earlier................ when i record from a non-MV source, then press pause, patch through a MV source, then press pause again to continue recording.......... the MacroVision is cheated. THIS ALSO WORKS TO RECORD FROM SKY BOX OFFICE, as well as dvd & video.

RE: Progressive Scan?

My MEGA-CHEAP dvd player from TESCO is progressive scan --- cost less than £25. :D It is also multi-region and has every output going.

My t.v. is from Lidl, it is German, called S.E.G, & it has R.G.B - in. But, the component works perfectly through my scart. So my components DO work via scart, i do not need separate cables. ;)

RE: Liteon LVW 5005

:D That`s just what i do. For some reason, the picture when tranfered onto dvd looks better. That must be psychosymatic, as the original medium cannot go better than it already was........... but, HEYYY, who`s complaining !!

this works from dvd & some computer software, too.

RE: Liteon 5005 3 Hr, Macrovision and Region Hacks HERE! for Oct 2004 models

i like the totally NO FUSS MacroVision ( not remover, but cheat ). ;) Put your blank dvd into your LITE-ON, & an un-protected, pre-recorded dvd into any dvd player. Start recording as you normally would ( for just a few seconds )...... then, press PAUSE on your LITE-ON recorder. :p NOW, change the media in the player from the un-protected disc to the MACRO protected disc . PRESS PLAY on player. Whilst playing protected media press PAUSE again, on the LITE-ON, where required. This makes the LITE-ON recorder think that it`s checked your film, etc, for Macro, already. DO NOT STOP OR PAUSE THE FILM YOU ARE COPYING, the macrovision might then be detected !!!!!! >:( This also works for copying videos and other stuff. :) ;) :D
