Matsui DVD 330 / 3307 MP3 support

Hi

I have just bought a Matsui 330 / 3307 and need to know if it supports MP3 playback? I have tried a few different MP3 disks but none allow me to play the MP3.

I have seen from other posts that some Matsui have the MP3 playback disable and you need to use a remote hack to enable them. I have tried the hack on this player but it did not work with the code give for the other player.

Does anyone know of a code to turn on MP3 on this player?

I successfully changed the region code using the remote code.

Thanks

Ive got the cable ill try out the serial flashing at the weekend.

If you havent done so already i recommend you check out this forum http://board.softpedia.com/index.php?showtopic=353 one of the firmware gurus has modded the denver flash specially for the 3650! i need to make the serial cable to check it out but it looks promising.

Thanks

RE: Menu Language problem?

Ok ive tried making new firmware files, burned them to CDRW like i did with the Denver bin and the player wont update the files anymore? it just seems to hang forever on the updating screen. Has anyone elese had this? any ideas?

Thanks

RE: Menu Language problem?

Hi again

Ive looked into this a bit further and i think the firmware could be cleaned up using the program MTK ReMaker. its seems fairly striaght forward. Has anyone done this yet?

If no-ones tried i could really do with an orignal skyworth firmware for the 3650. The main thing im needing is the front panel button mapping section. Im think copy this from an orignal firmware onto the denver and see if the button start working?

Once i got that there is the possiblity to get very latest firmware and tweak it for skyworth player.

Thanks

RE: Menu Language problem?

Hi

Ive just upgraded to the denver firmware and all appears to be going well. So glad i found this thread. The only beef i got is the buttons not working on the front the player.

I nearly had a heart attack when the eject button would work, found out you gotta use the back ¦<- button instead. I cant seem to get the power button to work which is a bit of a bummer.

Has anyone "cleaned up" this firmware, re-mapped the buttons and removed the corrupted front screen? I dont know much about firmware patching but i dont think it would that hard? would it?

The other thing i was suprized at was the option for progressive or interlaced output as far as i was aware this wasnt available before i did the upgrade. Thats gotta be a plus point for some people. You can use the "step" button on the remote to switch modes.

Im off to see if this firmware has fixed my jercky Xvid problem. I convinced its not really due to the packed bitstream as that made little diffierence after using mprg4modifier. I think its more likely due to multiple consequtive B frames in the video. You can check this in the "video info" tab on mpeg4modifiier. Older verison of xvid didnt use B frames. The new default in Xvid ver 1 and on is for multiple B frames to be on be defualt in the encoding options. This is annoying as i mainly got this for playing TV episodes and most ive got seem to be affected by jerkness.

Thanks
