RE: SONY DAV SB300 DVD Hack
Apparently Sony, Phillips and the like have signed an agreement when first producing dvd players to conform to pirating laws, therefore, they do not allow codes to be given out. Hence Sony will charge agents up to 700 pound ($2100+AUD)for a remote to be able to multi region their recorders.
However you can purchase remotes on the internet for around 30 pound ($90 AUD) and multi region that way.
